"A lovely stay in Briig hotel. A perfect location by a local beach with easy access to the port and town in under ten minutes by foot. Very spacious rooms with a super comfy XL bed and updated designer toiletries in the bathroom along with the amazing shower. A small but functional rooftop pool and sun deck and lovely garden to have breakfast and drinks. As a designer hotel it might be even better if it were adult only…but I appreciate that is highly subjective."

"It was a lovely and cosy hotel within the palace area of old town. It was easy to get to the port and other sightseeing places. It was close to restaurants and cafés. The staff are lovely and professional. They even packed my breakfast when I had an early start for one of my tours.  The hotel offers the bare basic amenities which was fine for me."

"Everyone, never stay at this hotel. They're completely scamming their customers. After making a reservation, they'll email you to request airport pickup and tour reservations, and then tell you that you need ID and taxes at reception. They're constantly lying and scamming you, making it seem like they're operating a normal hotel. I arrived at the hotel around 4:00 PM on the day of my stay, but not only was there no reception, the doors were locked, the lights were off, and there was no one there. There were no guests at all. I couldn't wait any longer, so I stopped by a bar next door and asked the hotel owner to call me. He said he'd be home soon, but when he didn't show up, I asked the owner hanging around the bar again. He said he couldn't accommodate me, that he'd connect me to another hotel, and that I should take a taxi. After much difficulty, I managed to get to another hotel 30 minutes away in that person's car and check in. However, it was already 7 p.m. by then, and I shudder to think about the nearly three hours I spent shivering in the rain, cold, and fear. My plan to arrive early, explore, and leave early the next day was completely ruined. Instead of sightseeing, I ended up suffering. Where can I get compensation for this? I booked the hotel because it was advertised as a straight line from the bus terminal, but contrary to the hype, there was no direct road behind the station. I had to take a long detour, and it was up a steep hill. I dragged my bags for over 30 minutes in the rain, and after much difficulty, I arrived at the hotel, which was completely abandoned. I later found out that the hotel was without electricity and water and was unable to operate. I rarely write reviews, but I'm writing this now because I want to make sure hotels like this are shut down quickly so no one like me can be victimized again. Please, everyone, never stay at this hotel. The same mistakes will happen again."
Malena Palace Experience
"The property is not easy to find. Fortunately, one of the local tour guides inside the palace gave me some directions, and I made the slog up the three or four flights of stairs to the room. The actual location is good, close to all the main sites and places to eat. The room was very clean and comfortable with hardwood floors and a mini-fridge. The best thing about the property is the owner Malena. She is super friendly and helpful and will even do some laundry for you if you ask her. I do have to say though that having to go up and down all those flights of stairs every time you want to go out gets a bit tiring, especially for someone who is as out of shape as I am. This is absolutely not for someone who has any kind of mobility issues. For anyone else, though, who is in halfway decent shape, this is an option well worth considering."
